Vigil at Chichester Synod – Praying for Divestment

When? Saturday 18th November, meeting at 9:20am

Where? Eastbourne, St Johns (Meads) Church, St Johns Road, Eastbourne, BN21 7ND

The 18th November is Chichester Diocese Synod, where they will be debating fossil fuel divestment. They are one of the few CofE diocese still investing in fossil fuels – with the vast majority of CofE diocese already divested and also the Church of England as a whole having voted to divest.

CCA will be outside of this debate holding a vigil. We will be praying that the diocese ends it’s investments in fossil fuels, and instead invests in energy that is life-giving.
