The Big One protest

From the 21st April 2023

The next mass protest is starting on April 21st 2023 and it is called The Big One.

This is because the protest is going to be the biggest climate protest yet. We’re working to bring 100,000 people protesting outside the Houses of Parliament in London – directly taking our call for change to those in power. So if you have never attended a protest before, this is the one where you get to join in and create change. Churches, cell groups, families, friendship groups, knitting circles… They will all be there!

The protest is going to be at its biggest for the 4 days (the 21st to the 24th April). However the idea is that the protest will also continue after this.

Christian Climate Action will be holding planning meetings via zoom in the lead up to The Big One. These will take place every Saturday morning at 10am. If you would like to join these, you can go so by registering in advance HERE.

Church Divestment Day of Action

Sunday 5th March 2023

On Sunday 5th March 2023, people around England and Wales will be taking action at Cathedrals around England and Wales to demand that the Church of England and the Catholic Church disinvest from fossil fuels.

This action has been designed so that everyone can join in. There are a range of actions you can take, from holding a vigil outside a Cathedral to praying inside. We’ve put together a menu of options to help inspire you. It includes things you can do on your own and things you can do with others.
