Christian Climate Action has a whole host of events coming up, to help you get more involved in what we do. Whether you’re new to CCA, or an old hand, do get stuck in with prayerful climate protest.

This is a friendly meeting for anyone who wants a CCA group near them. It doesn’t matter if you are completely new to CCA. Everyone is very welcome to explore how to get a local group going.

Morning and Evening Prayer

Together we pray for the earth and the work we are called to do in CCA.

Morning prayer is 9-9:30 every morning, online, followed by an opportunity to check in for those who can stay.

Evening prayer is 9:15 to 10pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Earth Vigils

A number of Christian Climate Action members take part in Earth Vigils at locations around the UK. This includes:

London – outside Parliament in Westminster, every Wednesday 11am-3pm

Brighton – at Brighton War Memorial, every 3rd Friday of the month, 10.30 am till 12 noon.

Surrey – at Horse Hill Shale Oil Extraction Plant, Ironbottom Lane, Hookwood. First Sunday every 2 months, 5 – 5.30pm

Saturday Sessions

This is a series of live, online teaching sessions every Saturday at 11am. We will be examining different aspects of the climate and ecological emergency and / or exploring biblical perspectives on how we might respond.

Saturday 3rd June – Why we express our Christian faith through activism. Freeing our Right-brain imagination from the dominance of Left-brain dogma.

Saturday 10th June – How we communicate about climate change.

Saturday 17th June – Why we need everyone (to be an activist). A discussion about some recent research about civil resistance on the climate and ecological crisis in the changing landscape of a post COVID-19 world.

Saturday 24th June – Overcoming the Inner Critic. When our self-critical thoughts stop us being the activist we want to be.
