Christian Climate Action is not an organisation. We are a group of people who have been moved in this climate crisis to take meaningful action around our 9-5s and other life commitments. Five of us are paid by Christian Climate Action for one day a week’s work each to make sure the basic things that keep us going get done.

Taking non-violent direct action is not easy, but we do it because we believe that the wellbeing and lives of countless human beings and other species depends an urgent call for radical change being heard by governments around the world.

If you want to support the work that we are doing and help it continue, please do consider making a financial contribution. We feel passionately that the Church should be paving the way in this climate emergency and your donation will make us one step towards making that happen.

What do we do with donations? We pay five people one day per week each to do a variety of tasks that mean the rest of us don’t become overwhelmed from doing everything in our spare time. We buy materials for actions. We help cover transport costs for our members. We have a paid-for Zoom account and a paid-for account that allows us to send out a monthly newsletter. You can also mark your donation ‘court costs’ if you would like it to help cover court costs or fines.

There are a few ways you can give to us:

1. Donate via Chuffed

If you donate online via Chuffed you can set up a one-off or monthly donation.

2. Donate via WordPress

WordPress is another way of donating online and also gives you the option of setting up annual payments.

3. Set up a standing order

Setting up a standing order enables you to make regular donations through your bank account directly to us. If you use online or telephone banking facilities, you can set up a standing order through these. You will need the Christian Climate Action account number and sort code which you will find on this Standing Order Form.

If you don’t have online or telephone banking, please print out and complete a Standing Order Form. You can then take this or send this to your bank for them to process.

4. Make a one off donation

One-off donations can also be made directly from your bank account to ours. You can do this by using the account number and sort code on the Standing Order Form. Again, this is something you will be able to do by online or telephone banking if you have either of these facilities.
