In Christian Climate Action, we are not just a protest group. Prayer underpins everything that we do, and we believe that the solution to the climate crisis is a spiritual one, as well as political.
The Season of Creation 2024, runs from the 1st September to the 4th October. Across this time, members of CCA have been holding climate pilgrimages in Bristol, Brighton, Durham, Edinburgh, London and Oxford. And there is another pilgrimage coming up on the 28th September in Cardiff.
Throughout history pilgrimage has been a tool that groups pushing for change have used alongside nonviolent direct action protest. For example, The Great Pilgrimage of 1913 was a march in Britain by suffragists campaigning non-violently for women’s suffrage, organised by the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies.
A massive thank you to everyone who has coordinated one of these pilgrimages. It takes a lot of effort to facilitate something like this. Thank you for using your time to allow others to connect with the climate crisis.

CCA is a movement of Christians supporting each other in taking a stand against the climate crisis. If you want to see more climate pilgrimages, donate to make that possible.
All donations made to Christian Climate Acton between Wednesday 18th September and Wednesday 2nd October will be doubled, up to a maximum of £5000.
