A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to CCA’s match funding campaign over the last 10 days. 

We’re really pleased to say that as of 29th October we have reached our target early, raising £18,880, which is being matched by a further £10,000.

You are still really welcome to donate to CCA but any further donations will no longer be matched as we’ve reached our target.

What will we do with the money?

• We are primarily volunteer-led, but, currently, four freelancers spend a total of five paid days per week between them doing some of the behind-the-scenes jobs that have to be done to keep us going. From answering emails and supporting our network of local groups to growing connections with other protest groups and helping people who haven’t traditionally taken part in protest overcome barriers to doing so. This is our biggest cost by far. One of these five days is currently funded by a grant but this will soon no longer be the case.
• For our Stop Crucifying Creation actions we spent money on equipment such as material and paint for banners.
• We aim to be inclusive, so when travel or accommodation costs are a barrier to people taking part in our actions we help cover those costs whenever we can.
• Our online meetings are held on a paid-for Zoom account and our newsletter has lots of subscribers so we need to use a paid-for service to send it.
