Christian Climate Action has a whole host of actions and events coming up. Whether you’re new to CCA, or an old hand at this stuff, we warmly welcome you to get stuck in with prayerful climate protest.

Christian Climate Action is a grass-roots movement. Anyone involved is invited to organise a prayerful protest or a vigil, as long as it follows our principles and values. You can find online training and resources to assist with this.

Everything we do in CCA is underpinned in prayer. Come and pray with us online!
You can join us online, every morning at 9am or every Monday and Friday at 6:30am.

| Stop Crucifying Creation Prayer Vigils at General Synod Outside Church House, Great Smith Street, Westminster, London SW1P 3NZ Monday 9th February, 10am – 4.30pm Wednesday 11th February, noon – 2pm Friday 13th February, 8 – 10am We’ll pray for the Church of England to take on board Stop Crucifying Creation and show true leadership in the climate and nature emergency. 24 Hour Ash Wednesday Prayer Vigil
Wednesday 18th February at noon to Thursday 19th February at noon, Central London location tbc
Join CCA for an hour or more over a 24 hour period, as we pray for the Church of England to adopt the Stop Crucifying Creation document. We will also spend some of the time praying for the Stop Rosebank campaign. If you plan to attend please email us so that we can keep you updated on exact timings and location.

Britain Talks Climate Workshop
Tuesday 24th Feb, 7pm-8pm
Alex Randall, Head of Programmes at Climate Outreach will share key insights from the latest Britain Talks Climate research, carried out in 2025. Britain Talks Climate is a toolkit to help engage the British public on climate change. He will also look at what this research can tell us about how people currently feel about climate activists and the best way to communicate through protest.

REGULAR VIGILS
Wednesday Silent Vigils – Shell, BP, Parliament and Rosebank

Every Wednesday, Central London,
8am-9am: Shell HQ, CCA members
10am-10:30am: BP HQ, CCA members
11am–1pm: CCA members, and those of other faiths, keep a vigil outside the Houses of Parliament, holding in mind Parliament and the challenges of the climate crisis.
1.15 – 1.45 Rosebank vigil, outside one of the Government departments or other location relevant to the outstanding decision on whether or not to permit drilling in the Rosebank oil and gas field.

Edinburgh Vigil Outside Scottish Parliament

Last Tuesday of every month, Midday – 2pm, outside the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh
Join us in prayer and reflection outside the parliament building.

Barclays Vigil, Liverpool

Third Saturday of every month, 12 – 1pm, Barclays bank, 48-50 Lord St, Liverpool, L2 1TD
CCA Liverpool hold a vigil outside their local Barclays.

CCA Brighton – Pause for the Planet Vigil

Third Friday of the month, 10:30am
The war memorial, Old Steine, Brighton
Followed by 11.15-11.45 outside Barclays bank on North Street.
Join us as we come together in silent prayer for our planet. We do this alongside XR Buddhists, who sit silently in meditation.
At 11:15 we move to holding another vigil outside Barclays bank, where we also do outreach, letting the public know that Barclays is the biggest funder of fossil fuels in Europe.

CCA Kent – Monthly Climate Vigil

Cardiff Silent Vigil for Climate Justice

Second Saturday of the month
12noon to 1pm
Outside Barclays Bank, Working Street (opposite St John’s Gardens), Cardiff City Centre, CF101GN
Join us in silent vigil for climate justice, outside Barclays Bank, Cardiff .
We will gather for an hour of silence as an act of grief for those dying because of climate chaos and to pray that Barclays stops funding climate breakdown. Everyone of all faiths and none are welcome to join us in silence, meditation, or prayer.
