Make some prayer flags

Our friends at Green Christian ran this activity at the Greenbelt Festival and are offering it in support of the faith bridge. It is a way for churches and groups to participate in the faith bridge even if they are not able to be there in person.

The basic idea is that people write prayers about the climate on coloured squares of material and peg them to a string you have secured around your church/room. These strings of flags will then be used to decorate the Faith Bridge in central London during the October rebellion.

You can bring your completed flags to the Faith Bridge in October, or if you can’t come yourself, please post to: Operation Noah, The Neighbourhood Office, 40 Bermondsey Street, London SE1 3UD.

We are using different colours for different emotions, so that making a flag becomes a way to creatively express our emotions about the climate crisis.

If they’re useful, you can download the poster and instructions poster above. (Or the poster and instructions in white if you’re printing at home)
