What:
XR Unify is a BIPOC led group who are taking action to put a stop to the fossil fuel industry. Join them on the Carnival for Climate Justice to celebrate global art, food, dance and stories. Friends, family and children are all welcome.
Why:
The fossil fuel industry has been destroying the homes, lands and cultures of BIPOC people for decades. The IPCC report shows that they in a critical situation! And more destruction, more fires, pollution and flooding is on the way. How many will become displaced people, climate refugees labelled as economic migrants? How many people have already lost their lives trying to get to safety?
We talk about climate justice, solidarity and diversity in our movement. Now we need to show up.
