Dates of upcoming stuff:
22nd September we will be joining the London Walk of Witness for Loss and Damage Action Day. Meet us at 10.30am at St Johns Church, Waterloo for prayers (prayers begin at 11am). We will then walk to the Shell headquarters and a silent vigil in Jubilee Gardens opposite, and if possible walk on to Parliament Square.
1st October we will be joining we be joining the Just Stop Oil Occupy Westminster action. Meet us at Euston Station at (Kate will need to confirm exact location and time)
14th -16th October join us for a weekend of resistance and connection…
Meet us on Friday 14th by the statue of William Tyndale in Victoria Embankment Gardens, Westminster at 9.30am where we will pray together before we join the mass protest demanding that the government act now. We hope to be able to hold a Eucharist service as part of this action and a quiet Vigil space alongside the main protest where there should be a lower risk of police intervention.
On Saturday 15th we will be outside Tate Modern between 10am and 5pm as we join the Extinction Rebellion for a programme of talks and music and for the opportunity to do some CCA outreach with the public. From 5pm we have the opportunity for more action and outreach as we join Extinction Rebellion to cover London with posters that reinforce the science, and tell the public about Citizens Assemblies.
On Sunday 16th we will meet at 11am [meeting point tbc but it will be in Central London] to pray and will then join the march carrying an oak sapling from Kett’s Oak to Parliament Square to Reclaim and Re-vision our Future followed by a time of connection, reflection and modelling deliberative democracy
