By popular demand, here are the lyrics of The Don’t Crucify Creation hymn.

We sang this song inside Westminster Abbey on Pentecost Sunday (24th May 20206) and it is now available for church and community groups to sing.

People have been asking if they can use the hymn, which is sung to tune from The Dambusters March, for church services, climate action and awareness events.

Christian Climate Action sang all five verses of the hymn during an action at Westminster Abbey on Pentecost Sunday to call for the Church to speak out about the Climate Emergency (scroll down for videos).

The singers received positive comments from members of the congregation who were given the lyrics at the end of the service.

The lyrics call for the Church to speak out and for everyone to take caring for God’s Creation seriously. The song, written by CCA member, is available to download.

It has two parts, or can be sung as one part. The Dambusters March is also used in the hymn ‘God is Our Strength and Refuge’ so may be well known by your congregation.
