G7 Pigrimage Ends with Service

Melanie arrived in Polmanter on Thursday along with several other CCA members, and joined our pilgrims for the final leg of their journey to St Unys at Lelant. Here’s her account of the final day, Friday.

The Polmanter contingent met the pilgrims at St Phillack and walked with them to St Uny’s at Lelant where we were warmly welcomed to the ancient church by the vicar and a number of police officers who were clearly there to keep the peace. I don’t think they expected protesters to come in prayer. After being inspired by the end of pilgrimage service led by Revd Helen Burnett, and saying farewell with a leave-taking prayer, the pilgrims went their various ways.

18 of us staying at Polmanter and we have just finished eating and are going to finish our day praying and singing together (outdoors).
