Our friends at Green Christian ran this activity at the Greenbelt Festival and then in support of the Faith Bridge. It provided a way for churches and groups to participate in the faith bridge even if they were not able to be there in person.
The idea is that people write prayers about the climate on coloured squares of material and peg them to a string secured around a church or a room. These strings of flags can then be used on actions or to decorate occupied spaces during a rebellion.
We have used different colours for different emotions, so that making a flag becomes a way to creatively express our emotions about the climate crisis.
